When you get a fantastic couple like Sarah & Elad, and a venue like Wynyard Hall, you know it’s going to be a good day 🙂 We’d met Sarah at her brother David’s wedding back in 2012, and 5 years later (almost to the day!) we were so excited to be photographing her and Elad’s wedding day.
There was a lot of heartfelt sentiment both during the ceremony and speeches, from two obviously very close families, which was lovely to see and to photograph. The day was relaxed and ran very smoothly, both thanks to Sarah & Elad’s planning, and the team at Wynyard.
The favours were brilliant, and an idea we’d not seen before. The tables were each named after places Sarah & Elad had visited, and the favours were the local drink from that country, a brilliant idea!
One of the great advantages with choosing a venue like Wynyard Hall is the choice of rooms as they have so many! Sarah & Elad chose The Ballroom for their ceremony, and then the Conservatory for their reception & evening do. We’ve also photographed weddings in the other rooms, such as the Mirror Room and the Chapel. We were so lucky to get a nice warm day, and so guests enjoyed their drinks on the terrace, and we could make the most of the grounds.
There’s a couple of North East wedding bands who we really look forward to seeing, as we know how good they are and that a good party is guaranteed. Heading up that list is Hip Operation – they’ve won a lot of awards and it’s no wonder! The atmosphere was brilliant, and we’re sure they were all dancing until the wee small hours! A good band can really make the evening reception, it’s great to see a nice full dancefloor.
Anyway, here’s some photos from the day – enjoy 🙂
